I built Locasly out of frustration.

I've been making websites since middle school. The first time I right-clicked a page and hit "View Source," I was hooked — I spent the rest of that week copying snippets into Notepad and breaking my mom's laptop.

By high school I was running sites that pulled in thousands of visitors. The content was, honestly, boring — fan pages, random tutorials, whatever I could think of — but I didn't care about the topic. The code was the part that caught my attention. Watching real people show up to something I'd built in my bedroom hooked me for good.

Through college I freelanced — landing pages for friends' startups, redesigns for local shops, the occasional portfolio site. I learned that the hard part of web dev isn't the code. It's finding the people who actually need a website.

After graduating I wanted to sell websites to local businesses. The pitch was easy — half the small businesses in any given town still don't have a real website. The problem was the workflow.
